El Cajon, CA – REVO2LT Running Team™ member Mike Ruhe ran 1:17:26 on a hilly course to place 2nd overall and win the Masters division at the 44th Annual El Cajon 20K in El Cajon, California on April 3.

“I went out a bit fast, thinking the course was generally tame with a couple of mild hills,” said Mike, a former San Diego State University standout who has run the venerable Comrades Ultra-Marathon in South Africa.  “I soon realized the first two miles were the only flat ones—from there it was all moderate rolling hills to the finish.”

“This was a solid race for Mike,” said his coach, Dr. Jason Karp of RunCoachJason.com, who has been coaching Mike since December, 2009.  “The hills definitely were a factor, but he ran tough and exhibited the strength he has gained from his endurance training.”

Mikes next race is the Oklahoma City Marathon on April 25.

Sponsored by the San Diego Track Club for 44 years, the El Cajon 20K traverses 12.4 scenic miles on rolling hills just east of San Diego.  For more information and race results, go tohttp://www.sdtc.com/Documents/21EL CAJON 20K.doc.
