THE SCIENCE AND COACHING OF DISTANCE RUNNERS HEADLINES AT AMERICAN COLLEGE OF SPORTS MEDICINE CONFERENCE IN SEATTLE
Chasing Pheidippides: The Science and Coaching of Distance Runners,a unique, integrative symposium chaired by Dr. Jason Karp, owner of RunCoachJason.com and director and coach of REVO2LT Running Team™, headlines the 56th Annual American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Conference May 27-30 at the Sheraton Hotel and Washington State Convention and Trade Center in Seattle.
The symposium, held on May 27, will discuss the “state of the science” and the “state of the coaching” of endurance training from the perspective of highly regarded coaches and scientists, including legendary coach and two-time Olympian Jack Daniels, Ph.D. andassociate professor of biology and kinesiology at Point Loma Nazarene University and elite master’s marathoner Hal Goforth, Ph.D.
Topics of the 2-hour symposium include:

Also on May 27, Dr. Karp will present his dissertation research, Lungs and Legs: Entrainment of Breathing to Locomotion in Highly-Trained Distance Runners.
