Boston, MA – Sean Mueller, a member of REVO2LT Running Team™ and a junior at Cheshire High School in Cheshire, Connecticut, ran the fastest 3,000 meters in the nation among high school juniors this season at the Mini Track and Field Meet at Boston University on January 2.  His performance currently ranks second in the nation among all high school students.  His time of 8:45.53, which was good for 9th place overall, crushed his previous best time by 18 seconds.

“I ran the first mile in 4:39 and it felt very comfortable,” said Sean.  “I had a lot left in the tank.  Im excited to see what I can do the rest of the season.”

“Sean ran a great race against college competition off of purely aerobic work,” said his coach, Dr. Jason Karp of RunCoachJason.com, who has been coaching Sean for two years.  “This performance places him among the best high school runners in the country.  Hell run even faster once hes done some speedwork.”

Sean Mueller’s next race is the Valentine Invitational on February 13 at Boston University.  His indoor track season concludes at the Nike Indoor High School National Championships on March 12-14, where he will run the 5,000 meters.
